3 inch wooden spool with heavy duty thread from The Bay State Thread
The advertising jingle, center of the spool --
Bay State Thread always w-o-r-k-s
From Bay State Thread Works, Springfield Mass
The label from the bottom of the spool is missing.
The thread has been partially used.  There is some light soiling on the thread, noticed as the thread is taken off the spool.  The underlayer appears to be a brighter green.
The label on the top of the spool is partially worn.  It reads:  The Bay State Thread (Works) --(most likely)
Then the center jingle and address.  The very side of this is missing.  The bottom line reads 4 Four Cord __________  maybe 'cotton'?
I am not sure on the date of manufacture, prior to 1930 or not?
