Antique Vtg 1930s Mens Tuxedo 2 Pc Suit Jacket Pants NRA Tag Edwardian Gatsby

$ 403.92

Availability: 70 in stock
  • Occasion: Formal
  • Condition: The tuxedo includes the jacket and pants as shown in our photo's. The makers tag in the back of the jacket reads "GOLD MEDAL CLOTHES" and in the inside pocket are a Union Label tag as well as an NRA tag which dates the suit to a period between 1933 and 1935. The National Recovery Adm. was enacted in 1933 and declared unconstitutional in 1935. There are no size tags present, I would say the suit is a men's small. The current measurements are as given below, taken with the garments laying flat. The suit is made of wool and features a single breasted two button front with silk lapels. The condition of both the jacket and the pants is excellent with no rips, tears, mothing or holes. Even the armpits are in excellent condition. I seriously doubt if this tux was ever worn more than once. The matching pants feature a button front with all of the buttons present. The hem on the trousers is app. 2.25" which would allow the length to be let out. The trouser legs have a stripe down each side.
