This is a brand new Compressor Start Capacitor for the 120 Volt Bunn Ultra-2 HP
machine with a T-2168GK compressor (will also fit the NT2168GKV).
A capacitor (or condensor) is actually an early form of a battery, designed to store electrical power.  Often used to help large motors overcome the initial inertia ("extra" energy needed to get started), they can also be used on large motors to help them keep running smoothly as loads vary during operation.  The compressor in your Ultra-2 machine contains an electrically-powered motor that essentially runs a pump to increase the pressure of the refrigerant and uses this capacitor to help it start and keep running smoothly.
This is for the 120 Volt model T2168GK compressor (will also fit the NT2168GKV)
.  Make sure your compressor number includes T-2168GK on its label.
The actual replacement of this part is relatively easy, but the troubleshooting needed to determine the need to replace is intermediate and may require a repair technician with electrical and refrigerant systems experience.  Essentially, if you experience a problem with your compressor starting or "false" starts accompanied by noticeable power drain (e.g. lights dim, fuse or circuit breaker opens) during operation (for example when the compressor is running for one hopper and the second hopper solenoid opens), after eliminating system control issues this could be the problem.
