This brochure is a syllabus of classes given at the Educational, Cultural and Religious  Program of the Cherokee Historical Association and the Cherokee Indian Agency in the summer of 1954 from July 12 to September 3. The program had been started in 1950 for the members of the Unto These Hills cast and the local Cherokee and  Indian Service personnel, but was now open to anyone. There was no cost to the students except for  supplies. Classes offered were: play writing, acting, dance, drawing and painting, film study, weaving, wood working and carving, jewelry, art metal work, pottery, Cherokee anthropology and community education. There are brief descriptions of the courses and short resumes of the teachers, who had  a wide range of training and experience and ca
me from different parts of the country.
The 4 by 9 inch brochure has 6 pages including the inside covers. It's sightly faded with some wear on the edges.
