Here is a superb fossil sea club urchin, Asterocidaris Meandrina, from Boulmane, Morocco.  It is from the mid Jurassic, about 170 million years ago.
All of the spines have been individually prepared and mounted back into position around the urchin. Spines fall off almost immediately after the urchin dies.
This one measures about 2.55 inches. The shale matrix is about 5" by 4.3", and it weighs 1 lb. 3.15 oz.  Excellent, clean detail on the urchin and the spines.
A museum-grade addition to any fossil collection.
