    Description

    These fossils belongs to the Echinoid family,
    Pygurus marmonti.
    They date from the late Eocene, 50 million years ago. These beautiful creatures can still be found today living in the warm, turbulent waters of seas and oceans.
    The fossils have been highly polished to show off the 5 beautiful 'petals' of the star as well as their lovely golden color. Concentric growth rings are visible encircling some of the specimens.
    All are approximately 1.0 inches in diameter. The ones pictured here are the ones that will be mailed out after purchase.
