Vintage Solid Corbels Wood Corbel 1850 19” H X 11 1/2 Top Base W X 4” Side W. HISTORY: This is one of 12 corbels that came off of Fowler’s Market in Middlefield CT. Established in 1850, burned down in 1990. Salvaged in the 80s by a craftsman who held onto them. This is one of its kind. The other’s are similar. These are slanted at the top. My daughter and I have made it our responsibility to collect salvaged, reclaimed, reconsidered, and unwanted goods, as well as, carry out cleaning initiatives. Our objective of collecting all these waste materials is to engage them in creative reuse so that we can lower the negative effects of pollution. Air pollution, water pollution, and environmental pollution all result in negative effects on both human life and animals. We, therefore, would like to see Salvaged Originals maintain a clean environment by engaging in waste collection and engaging the collective waste in creative reuse. We fully understand that artists, crafters, collectors, and creative in a community exist for a purpose.
While I am working hard in school, at work, and on the side trying to develop a not-for-profit for artists, crafters, and professionals to promote creativity and unique experiences, it’s still a long road ahead of me.
